LINUM meets

LINUM meets; Elin Lannsjö.

It's been a few years since we last greeted writer and entrepreneur Elin Lannsjö at her cosy allotment. For those of you who are already familiar with Elin via her popular Instagram account and blog on ELLE Decoration, know that early summer is a busy time to say the least. One day a couple of weeks ago we knocked on her door for a coffee and a quick chat.
Elin, her family and friends are all involved in life and work around the little cottage. There are constant projects going on in the garden and for those of you who have followed her blog, it's no news that the grapevine never really took hold or that the gaut weed has finally met its defeat. As the temperature rises and the weather becomes more forgiving, Elin opens the door to the new season.

Elin on her life project.

"Spring has arrived at the colony and I've finally had time to settle in a bit. Every season is a new start and I check how the outdoor furniture is doing, if anything is broken and I do plans for the garden season. For the past five or six years, I've had cushions and seat cushions from LINUMS assortment out at the allotment. They are used inside the cottage as comfortable cushions at the dining area and as seats on the floor when the fire is burning in the stove. Most of all, however, I use them outdoors and they are indispensable in the garden. They end up in the seating areas, in the grass, on the gravel and even in the flower beds sometimes when I'm weeding.

This year I've picked the three colours Light Ice Green, Dark Grey Turquoise and Creamy Beige from the PEPPER series, in both seat cushions and pillows. I love the slightly thicker cotton fabric and the colours harmonise beautifully with each other. They will accentuate my garden flowers in icy purple, light pink and cerise in a really nice way. Also fun to add the round shape to the cushions!"

How to care for your seat cushions and cushion covers this summer.

The PEPPER cushion cover is made of a thicker cotton fabric and the seat cushion has the same high-quality fabric all round and is filled with recycled polyester. The natural cotton material can fade in the sun and should therefore be removed and put back in a more sheltered or shady place after use.

However, the PEPPER cushion covers and seat cushions are very easy to care for and is machine washable up to 40 degrees. The cushion cover can be stretched out immediately after washing and should air dry. If you want a stricter look and feel, you can turn the cushion cover inside out while it is still slightly damp and then iron it with the "cotton" setting on the iron. Seat cushions are best dried lying down on a washstand where air can get in from both above and below. PEPPER has been part of LINUM's range for decades, and a few times a year customers who have had the products for decades contact customer service to ask if they are still in our range. A good rating for a useful and beloved product.
