SILK Cushion cover
DUPION and SILK are our series of exclusive cushion covers made from 100% dupion silk, manufactured in India. Despite the different names, there is no difference between the models. The cushion cover has a lively surface, with a sophisticated sheen in its structure, which is also characteristic of this particular type of silk. DUPION and SILK are available in several colors, and the fabric brings out the shades in a very beautiful way. The SILK cushion cover comes in two sizes, here 40×40 cm and also 50×50 cm.
SILK and DUPION match the SETA cushion cover in raw silk, and the idea is that they can be used side by side as they often come in matching tones. SETA, SILK, and DUPION also match the PAOLO collection, and its deep, often powerful shades, fit perfectly with PAOLO’s sophisticated color scheme.
As a LINUM customer, you always choose whether you wish to purchase an inner cushion for your cover. LINUM provides options in feather or synthetic, and all cushion cover sizes have a corresponding inner cushion.
Since DUPION and SILK are made from the natural material silk, the cushion covers are more delicate than other qualities. The product may fade in sunlight, and we reserve the right that each piece is unique. Thus, natural variations in the weave may occur. Please note dry clean only, as water may stain the fabric.

LINUM’s assortment consists exclusively of products made from natural materials, with the exception of synthetic inner cushions and the padding in the seat cushions. When a product is made from 100% cotton, silk, linen or similar materials, the thread may vary in thickness and variations in the fabric are therefore not uncommon. Colors may also fade over time. Natural materials generally have very high durability, but since their fibers originate from plants, a product may require more care and gentler handling than items made from synthetic materials.
Washing instructions for the UNI & PEPPER collection
UNI runner, UNI placemat and ROBERT napkin
- UNI placemats and runners are made with a classic ribbed structure and are preferably machine washed at 40°C.
- Placemats and runners should not be folded when placed in the washing machine, but kept as flat as possible.
- Wash the products separately and not together with other items, as a more spacious wash helps maintain the product’s shape. When the washing program is finished, stretch the products gently by hand to preserve the structure. Do not tumble dry. The products should air dry on a flat surface and can preferably be ironed while still slightly damp, which gives them more firmness and allows them to lie better on the table.
- ROBERT napkins are also washed at 40°C and can likewise be ironed while still slightly damp.
PEPPER seat cushion
- PEPPER seat cushions can be machine washed at 40°C.
- Use a spacious wash cycle and preferably wash only a few cushions at a time. PEPPER cushions should be dried on a flat surface and must not be tumble dried.
- Individual stains can also be washed by hand and a full machine wash is not always necessary.
- Colors may fade over time and should not be left in direct sunlight.
PEPPER, ANNABELL & SHEPARD cushion covers
- PEPPER, ANNABELL and SHEPARD cushion covers should be washed inside out at 40°C with the zipper closed as much as possible.
- They are preferably washed with similar colors and should be air dried, not tumble dried. Cushion covers can be ironed while still slightly damp for added firmness.
- Colors may fade over time and should not be left in direct sunlight.
Washing instructions for the PAOLO collection
- All products included in the velvet program can be machine washed at 30°C.
- Wash them separately in spacious cycles to avoid pressure from other items. Pressure from other products may cause streaks or marks in the velvet since the fabric has a very short pile that can be compressed.
- Cushion covers should be turned inside out and the zipper closed as much as possible.
- Bedspreads may dry hanging, but with the smooth side facing inward, while cushion covers and curtains should dry flat. Note that the fabric is sensitive to pressure and marks may occur from clotheslines or clothespins. No products in the collection can be tumble dried.
- The cushion covers CALCIO and AMALFI can be machine washed at 30°C. We recommend a very gentle program and that they are washed separately.
- Silk should always be dry cleaned.
