Skillad Floral Design interprets LINUM; 4

Vacation season may be winding down, but there’s still time to enjoy those late summer nights! Why not make the most of the loveliest months of the year with a crayfish party in your courtyard, garden, or the park? Let Skillad Floral Design be the inspiration you need for one of Sweden’s most beloved traditions: crayfish parties.

With the help of a ‘Kenzan’, it’s never been easier to make a beautiful flower arrangement for the table, says Nika Wahren, the florist behind Skillad Floral Design. A Kenzan is a handy metal tool with sharp spikes that stick up out of it. The spikes are used to stick flower stems into, so that the flowers stand upright in a vase or bowl. In this article, Nika used flowers in rich, seasonal colors:

  • Red dahlias
  • Yellow roses
  • Astrantia
  • Oats
  • Dried bunny tail grass
  • Carnations
  • Snapdragons
